In this vertiginous novel, set against the geographic beauty of Terra Luminosa, a microcosm of an archaic Brazil, the intensity of a thriller is intertwined with a reflection on legacy and identity.

Two journalists, Emílio and Sara, embark on an investigation into the disappearance of a colleague. During their trip to an isolated floriculture community in search of clues, an accident keeps them stranded, and their search leads to a shocking massacre amidst the region’s bucolic landscape. Javier Contreras masterfully blends thriller, horror and pop culture, proving himself as a master of suspense and showcasing his versatility and critical lens. A book engaging with Latin America’s social and political distortions, exploring its deep-rooted history of authoritarianism.
